Pradyumna Tambwekar

Hi! My name is Pradyumna Tambwekar and I am a first year CS PhD student in the school of Interactive Computing. I obtained my Master’s(Computer Science) degree from Georgia Tech in 2018 and my bachelors(Information Systems) from BITS Pilani in 2016. Between my Master’s and prior to joining the PhD program I worked as a research intern at Baidu Research(Sunnyvale). My primary research interests are centered around the field of interactive natural language systems. I am interested in studying novel techniques that can facilitate the transition of AI systems from tools to partners in human-AI collaborative scenarios. I would like to understand what impacts the perception of human-factors within natural language systems like emotion or intent. My long-term research goal is to build systems which can encapsulate these qualities and add more interpretability to AI systems. My current research at the CORE lab involves building a model which can convert natural language instructions into a robot-understandable policy. I’m excited to see where my future research takes me!
